ILLUSIONS TUTORIAL

This tutorial uses the plug-in Mura Meister - get it HERE

Open new image 600x250

Open your tube and paste as a new layer

Apply the plug-in Mura Meister Copies - Wallpaper Rotate with these settings

If your entire canvas is not filled, apply the same settings again!

Now go to Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur and set at 25

Now go to Effects - Texture Effects - Mosiac Glass with the settings as below

Duplicate this layer

Go to Image/Mirror/Mirror Vertical

Merge this layer down

Paste your tube as a new layer -

Position to the side you prefer - I moved my to the right

Duplicate your tube

On the duplicate copy of the tube - apply Gaussian Blur - settings at 2.00

Change the Blend Mode to Soft Light

Merge this layer down to the original tube

Add a new raster layer

Got to the selection tool - Custom Selection with these settings

Flood fill with a color from your image

Select None

Go to Effects - Distortion Effects - Wave and use these settings

Add drop shadow

Add Drop Shadow again only this time
change Vertical to (-2)
Horizontal to (-2)

Duplicate this layer

Go to Image - Mirror - Vertical

Merge down

Add a new raster layer - (this layer should be above the wave layer)

For your foreground color - pick a darker color for this brush, I just used black

Go to Paint Brush

Look for the Illusions brush that you copied into your Brushes folder

Make sure that you set the size to 225

Click and position the brush on the first wave

I added a drop shadow with the color white - settings below

Apply the drop shadow again only changing the

Vertical and Horizontal to (-2)

Go to your tube layer

Layers/Arrange/Bring to the top

Add your name - I used the font - Oh Captain

I added a slight drop shadow

Add the copyright information

Make sure that you are at the very top of all your layers

Add a new layer - Select All

Flood fill will color that you would like for the border

Selections - Modify - Contract - 3

Edit-Delete

Keep selected

Flood fill with Black

Selections - Modify - Contract - 2

Edit - Delete

Keep Selected

Flood will with your first color

Selections - Modify - Contract - 3

Edit - Delete

Select None

I added a slight drop shadow!

You are done!
